High Value Car Thefts – targeting Range Rovers and Land Rovers

CID officers in Chiltern and South Bucks LPA are currently investigating a series of vehicle thefts where it is suspected that the thieves are using an electrical device to bypass the vehicle’s security systems. The group appear to be targeting Range Rovers and Land Rovers with recent thefts taking place in the Beaconsfield area. As your Neighbourhood Team we would like to advise owners of such vehicles to take extra security measures to prevent such a crime happening to them. We would suggest that where possible you block your vehicle in, make use of the steering lock and, if you have a gated driveway, ensure this is closed and locked when the vehicle is on the drive. If you have CCTV ensure it is working properly and keep an eye out for any suspicious behaviour.
