New Residents

On behalf of Bulstrode Camp Limited, we would like to welcome you and introduce you to the Company. In June 2009, the former Camp Road Association (which had been in existence since 1971) acquired the title deed to the three roads of Camp Road, Top Park, and Valley Way. The Camp road Association then merged with  the Top Park Association and formed BCL.

The management of the Company is run by a committee made up of resident volunteers. The Directors’ details can be found here. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any comments or concerns.

The roads comprise 128 houses and each property contributes an annual service charge, payable in April, towards the maintenance of the road (eg re-surfacing, repairs, drains, signage, shrubbery, insurance etc). Each autumn an AGM is held where matters of mutual interest are discussed and agreed. All Members are encouraged to attend this meeting to ensure as much sharing of ideas as possible.

A Neighbourhood Watch email system is in operation by which means we are able to inform you not only of any Police or security issues but also of matters relating to the management of the roads.

A welcome pack of forms and information is provided to new residents. Please send a message to the BCL Secretary (Mrs Sue Jones) if you require more information.

Bulstrode Camp is a special place.....let's keep it that way...

Camp Road bend 640x480~ The roads are not particularly wide in places with some sharp bends and steep inclines so a sensible speed restriction of 20mph must be observed if accidents are to be avoided.

~ The regular or long-term parking of cars on the roads or verges is prohibited.

~ If a large social event is planned, please inform neighbours in advance and send an email to BCL Secretary (Mrs Sue Jones) so she can send out a note to everyone. Please ensure that visitors park on one side of the road only; and keep noise to an acceptable level especially after 11pm.

~ Maintain the grass verges according to custom and practice (grass only). It is preferable to cut hedges between August & December (because of nesting birds).

~ Many trees have Tree Preservation Orders on them (TPOs), before carrying out any work on trees check their Tree Preservation Status here on the SBDC site

~ Refuse and recycling collection takes place on Friday morning. (see calendar)

Salt Grit Bin 640x480~ Salt-grit is available from the green grit-bins for communal (not personal) use in icy weather.

~ Local bye-laws permit bonfires to be lit after sunset. It is appreciated if residents choose the time and weather conditions carefully so as not to spoil a neighbour’s quiet evening in the garden.

~ Security is a problem everywhere; a practical awareness and watchful eye when neighbours are away is helpful. An active Neighbourhood Watch email system operates amongst our community.

~ An opportunity for interested parties to provide input to the planning application process is available with SBDC and individuals are encouraged to do this if they consider it appropriate.
